And now, demons, at the behest of their devil overlords, are in the process of exterminating all of human existence.  In a final act of despair, the angels banished a lonely world into a starless stretch of a lifeless universe, where demonic forces can barely reach. All they need now is a selfless soul who will take the mantle of the Final Guardian, an entity whose entire existence revolves around postponing the end of human life. It would take a true saint to accept such a burden. Unfortunately for them, their volunteer is no saint. And sadly for the demons, he is something far worse. Any time he dies, he will revive to continue his mission.  Any time he aids humanity, he will grow more powerful. There is no winning the war against the infinitely vast army of demons. But he might just be crazy enough to postpone losing.
