A Low-Stakes, Cozy, Slice-Of-Life World-Hopping Adventure John, a 37-year-old widower, is feeling lost. Grief, regrets, and the weight of the past make him long for something new, something different. So when he finds a way to travel between worlds using dimensional Gates, he takes it. A bit of research, a bit of training, and he’s off. Sure, his class has the potential to be overpowered, but he’s not in it for fights, fame, or power. He’s here to breathe again. To heal. To see what else is out there. He moves at his own pace, helps out when he wants—sometimes as a healer, sometimes as something else—and keeps track of it all in a sort of diary. It’s more about the journey than the destination. About magic, new places, and figuring out how to live again. This isn’t some dark, gritty tale full of battles or world-ending stakes. It’s about traveling with friends. Awkward conversations, food, understanding magic, and way too much shopping. It’s about the little things that make life worth it—and how even small discoveries can change everything. Scattered through the story are short side stories—glimpses into other worlds, other travelers, or the consequences of his actions. They all circle back eventually, adding layers to John’s path and filling in the bigger picture, one quiet step at a time. Book 1: ShimoorThe first book follows John’s journey in Shimoor, a low-mana world with a medieval society where magic is barely noticeable. This “tutorial world” provides John with the calm, slow pace he needs to begin his journey, allowing him to adjust to the freedom of world-hopping without pressure or danger. Book 2: Back on Earth John is back on Earth. Only this time, he’s seeing it as a Traveler, not a resident. Between learning more about magic and friendship, discovering why giving a familiar telekinesis is a terrible idea, and testing the limits of what he can buy and cram into his magical Storage, he still manages to fit in some adventuring and a few small rescue missions. But really, that’s all secondary. The real question is: how much coffee can he fit in there? Book 3: LumisThe third book takes John to Lumis, a medium-mana world with dungeons and captivating places. For the first time, he travels purely for the sake of exploration, eager to experience a new world and its mysteries, without any specific goal other than discovery and enjoyment. Book 4: Zindor - Spoils of a Shattered World Recently integrated, Zindor is a dangerous world where uncleared dungeons and unchecked monsters dominate the wilds. People live in fear, sheltered behind fortified walls, as a tense political landscape adds to the chaos. John and his friends must navigate not only the deadly wilderness but also the volatile politics of the cities, where every decision could mean the difference between survival and disaster in this unforgiving world. So kick back, relax with a coffee or snack, and take a break from reality. Join John, the Gate Traveler, on a never-ending vacation. Release Schedule: Three chapters a week, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, at 16:00 +3 GMT. Comments and corrections are welcomed and appreciated. I always want to hear what you think😊.
