Jiang Cheng is just another outer disciple in the vast Falling Star Sect, struggling for every scrap of progress in a world where talent and resources dictate one's fate. But he is not just another cultivator. Strange subconscious thoughts, remnants of another life, whisper ideas foreign to this world, guiding his every step. Combined with his sharp perception and unyielding determination, In a sect where the strong trample the weak, can he turn these vague memories and instincts into true strength, or will he remain just another ant beneath their feet? And more importantly. Will he find out about the truth of these distant thoughts? What to expect: Solitude. Cheng will for the majority of the story will be alone. Cultivation is supposed to be a lonely thing, but you don't really feel like the characters are alone for the long periods of time they are described to go into seclusion. You don't really get this feeling from most cultivation novels, and that is something I want to change. Nonstandard cultivation. Names aside, the stages are quite different than what one usually expects. No Unearned power boosts. I will try and make sure the power increases feel earned. No heavenly boons around here. ...Most of the time. Slow burn. This novel will be big and lengthy. If you came here for interactions between characters, You'd best wait for Arc/Book two. or skip it. But then again, you'd miss on the first step of Cheng's journey. The point is that it will take time. And as I mentioned above, Cheng will spend a great majority of his life, being alone, because that is how he is as a person, and the fact that cultivators have to spend time alone in closed door cultivation.
