The Door To All Marvels

Fate is a fickle thing. Lily Ward, a young, orphaned student, strives to become an immortal no matter how far the road stretches— though she scarcely knows how high the heavens truly are. Chased by mysterious tragedy of not-so-mysteriously imperial origin, Ai'er Avyr also seeks the world of cultivation, to follow in the steps of his ancestors and maybe, just maybe, find what he'd lost— what was taken. And— luckily for them— Mingtian, the Immortal Sovereign of Boundless Radiance, is bored.  After eons striving for ever higher realms of power, he's tired of the creeping pointlessness of it all— so on a whim, he decides to descend to a lesser realm, posing as a mortal (poorly), in an attempt to find a bit of a break and to maybe do some cool hidden master things on the side. But bound together by circumstance and coincidence and their shared will, by something akin maybe to fate, their journey threatens to shake their realm... and perhaps even all the Heavens above, too.
